Beasley and Bostick Win Banker’s Cup Honors

Sarah “Scottie” Beasley and R. Mark Bostick were honored as 2007 Woman and Man of the Year respectively at Winter Haven’s Banker’s Cup/Taste of Winter Haven banquet January 23 at Nora Mayo Hall.

Beasley was honored for her many community volunteer pursuits including Friends of the Library, Library Board, Girl Scouting, American Red Cross and serving as a “cuddler” for newborns at the Regency Medical Center.

Bostick led efforts to found All Saints Academy and played a major role in development of the heart and stroke centers at Winter Haven Hospital.

Hosts for the evening were Chamber President Bonnie Parker and husband Jim, and co-hosts were Duane and Peggy Hunt.

A capacity crowd enjoyed food selections from twelve participating restaurants including All Star Grill, Amici’s Italian Cafe, Antonio’s Ristoranti at the Best Western, Brock’s Smoke Hut, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Chalet Suzanne Restaurant & Inn, Garden Ballroom & Banquet Facilities, Holiday Inn Winter Haven, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Shells Seafood Restaurant, Smokin’ Jim’s Barbecue, Texas Cattle Company and Richard’s Fine Coffees.
