Restoration plans by Richard Mills have been approved for a $10,000 matching grant from the Downtown Winter Haven CRA to restore the facade of what was originally the “Hoffman Department Store” built in 1937. Seen below is the original building, the current facade and the proposed renovations.

Yes, the restoration of the original Hoffman Department Store is going to be a great transformation in downtown.
As the Executive Director of Main Street Winter Haven, I am proud to recognize and give add-a-boys to the Main Street Winter Haven Design Committee who was involved in the entire process of this great project: from the conceptual stage to restore versus remodel the building; the Main Street Winter Haven Facade Grant application; and all the way to the CRA’s approval, and their funding the matching grant.
Your downtown is lookin’ good!
